The Ambassador Bangkok is a large campus, with ramps and elevators that are accessible to the disabled. The hotel has a really nice bird garden, and a huge exhibit of an artificial rain forrest, which spans three floors, and can be comfortably observed through the glass, inside a nice coffee shop. Rooms in the main building are small, but newly renovated with tile floors, and way cool lighting built into the headboards behind the beds. The tower has larger carpeted rooms but the rooms in the main building excited me more. My non-smoking room was immaculate! I considered other hotels. After actually seeing the other hotels, and staying at The Ambassador Bangkok, I know I made a wise choice. We really loved it. We love Thailand, and we shall return!!!!

The Ambassador Hotel is within walking distance from Bangkok's hottest nightclubs. The Ambassador Hotel has many reviews on other websites saying they're not "Girl Friendly" but that isn't so... as long as your guest has proper identification and you introduce her to the security desk, the Ambassador Hotel doesn't charge for your inviting someone to accompany you to your room. The security desk keep's your guest's ID until they leave. That protects them and you. The breakfast buffet is very nice with a great selection of fruits, juice, and most other things one expects in a breakfast buffet. They also have a good selection of vegetarian foods. Upstairs on the third floor is the swimming pool and bird garden. The bird garden includes a very large, enclosed rain forest with several peacocks and koi. There's a coffee shop on the first floor with a ground view of this magnificent exhibit. Other bird garden exhibits include about a dozen cages of exotic birds which are all well fed and cared for. Some of the birds like people and will get very close to sing and show off. Unforgettable!!!! Many retail jewlery and tailor shops are located both inside and outside The Ambassador. The best of the tailor shops is on the marble corridor directly in front of the main enterance. Elite Thai Silk has their own sewing machines on the premises. I got two Hawaiian shirts custom tailored. One in silk, one cotton. Beautiful.

my room just finish renovated... Nice d?cor with great view of city centre. Reception is helpful and polite to give information needed. The breakfast arrangement is something we would not have missed for anything; we have never seen anything so enormous with good quality. Central Location! There is a nice supermarket on the front of the entrance, many good restaurants surrounded.

The hotel is a little old and in need of a hollywood make over to keep pace with other properties in the area. The location is great and the service friendly. This is not Club Med... but it isn't trying to be. I'll be back...soon.
